Maverick Player Academy is the newest player development program from Maverick Goalkeeper Academy, designed specifically for outfield players looking to improve their technical ability, confidence, and game performance.

Through personalized one-on-one training and small group sessions, players receive focused coaching tailored to their individual needs and developmental goals. Our training curriculum emphasizes ball mastery, first touch, passing and receiving, finishing, attacking and defending principles, speed of play, decision-making, and overall soccer IQ.

Whether a player is looking to build a stronger technical foundation, prepare for competitive soccer, or gain an edge in their position, Maverick Player Academy provides a professional training environment that challenges and develops players of all levels.

Training sessions are available in Vacaville and Dixon, California, offering flexible opportunities for players to receive high-quality supplemental training outside of their team practices.

Striker + GK clinics

Experience game-like training designed specifically for the two most influential positions on the field. Maverick Soccer Academy's Striker & Goalkeeper Clinics bring attackers and goalkeepers together in a competitive, high-energy environment that develops the skills, decision-making, and confidence needed to perform under pressure.

Strikers will focus on finishing techniques, movement off the ball, first-touch finishing, breakaways, and goal-scoring instincts. Goalkeepers will develop shot-stopping, positioning, handling, distribution, and communication while facing realistic game situations.

By training together, players gain valuable experience reading the game, reacting to live competition, and improving their performance in match-specific scenarios.

Cristian Torres

Christian Torres brings a wealth of playing experience, professionalism, and passion for the game to every player he works with. As a former professional soccer player for the Ontario Fury, Christian understands firsthand the commitment, discipline, and work ethic required to perform at the highest levels of the sport.

Founded in 2013, the Ontario Fury competed at the highest level of professional arena soccer, delivering fast-paced, high-energy competition while developing a strong reputation for excellence both on and off the field. During his time with the organization, Christian was part of a culture dedicated not only to athletic achievement but also to making a meaningful impact throughout the community.

Marc Munoz is a passionate and dedicated soccer coach with extensive experience in player development, team leadership, and technical training. His coaching journey spans the youth, high school, academy, and private training environments, giving him a well-rounded approach to developing players both on and off the field.

Marc currently serves as a Head Coach with Vacaville United Soccer Club (VUSC), where he is committed to creating a positive, challenging, and player-centered environment that promotes growth, confidence, and a love for the game.
