Maverick Goalkeeper Academy provides more than elite goalkeeper training — we provide a pathway to the next level. Our college recruiting program equips athletes with the tools, guidance, and exposure needed to maximize their recruiting opportunities and reach their goals.

MGA Recruiting Counselors are current and former collegiate athletes, as well as current and former professional players, who have successfully gone through the recruiting process themselves. We understand what college coaches are looking for, how to communicate effectively, and how to position you for success.

Our mission is to give back to the soccer community by sharing our experience, insight, and network — so you can focus on achieving your goal of playing college soccer.

College Recruiting Pathway

While the college recruiting pathway follows a similar structure for most athletes, no two recruiting journeys are the same. At a certain point, success depends on personalized communication, targeted exposure, and precise timing — all of which must be tailored to you.

At Maverick Goalkeeper Academy, we provide proven recruiting templates and trusted platforms for every athlete, but what truly sets us apart is our personal approach. As an MGA member, you receive individualized guidance designed around your goals, timeline, and academic and athletic profile.

Membership includes one-on-one meetings with your family and an MGA Soccer College Counselor, unlimited email access to your counselor, and customized support navigating college coach communication, ID camps, highlight videos, unofficial and official visits. We also offer mock phone calls and recruiting simulations to prepare you for the moments that matter most — and much more.

Our goal is to ensure you’re not just following the recruiting process, but executing it with confidence and clarity.

College recruitment is simple — but it’s not easy. Success comes down to three key factors: exposure, timing, and communication.

Through Maverick Goalkeeper Academy, athletes receive a professional online recruiting profile that serves as their soccer resume. Just like a job interview begins with a résumé, college coaches first evaluate who you are on paper — your abilities, accomplishments, academic background, and why you’re a strong fit for their program. Your MGA profile ensures coaches see you at your best.

In addition, athletes gain access to hundreds of college coach contacts and recruiting resources, along with guidance on identifying the right-fit schools, effective email and phone communication, ID camps, and next steps in the recruiting process. MGA gives you the structure, tools, and support needed to turn opportunity into offers.

Your MGA Soccer College Counselor (SCC) will build a customized recruiting timeline based on where you currently are in the college recruiting process. While certain parts of the pathway follow a standard structure, there are critical benchmark dates and milestones that must be hit to maximize opportunities.

As an MGA athlete, you’ll receive monthly check-ins, ongoing access to your counselor throughout the week and month, and clear, actionable to-do lists designed to keep you organized, accountable, and on track. Our goal is to ensure every step you take moves you closer to achieving your goal of playing college soccer — with confidence, clarity, and support.

In addition to elite recruiting guidance and cutting-edge tools, every College Recruiting Member receives exclusive access to college recruiting webinars, podcasts, and educational resources. These materials provide insider insight into the recruiting process, help you stay informed at every stage, and empower you to make confident, well-educated decisions throughout your journey.
